Just out of curiosity how much is a 1981 Australian coin with the imprint of Queen Elizabeth II worth? I figure it's worth nothing. But some guy at my work said it was worth $3 or something. (He's really not good with money and finances ;D ). He noticed it on a key chain of mine that I got from Wal-Mart for like $5.

Can you please post some photos? There are several Australian coins that were issued in 1981,most notably the 50 Cents, which commemorates Prince Charles' wedding, which was issued for circulation. It would be worth around US$1 in Uncirculated grade.
Aidan.

A 1981 Australian 50c coin is worth its face value if its been in circulation. If its uncirculated and in a display pouch it probably wont be worth more than $5AUD

I doubt it's worth much but I have to agree with "HRISMH Duke Rico".
