Head of Travancore Royal Family has died at 91

Uthradam Thirunnal Marthanda Varma, head of the royal family that ruled Travancore before Independence, died early Monday morning - December 16.

As succession in Travancore is not from father to son, his heir apparent is Moolam Thirunnal Rama Varma.
