As a royal heraldist, I have been intrigued at the lack of coats of arms for both Christopher O'Neill and Princess Sofia. Christopher is a Knight of the Order of the Polar Star. Sofia is now officially (as of last night's attendance with Prince Carl Philip at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences formal gathering) a Dame (?) of the Order of the Seraphim. As such they will have stall plates somewhere and therefore coats of arms. Yet, nothing has been mentioned/announced.
I know it may be considered quite a specialist subject, but can anyone help?
I have received confirmation from the Swedish Royal Court that a Coat of Arms is being drawn up for HRH Princess Sofia, although it hasn't quite been signed off yet. Mr Christopher O'Neill does not have a Coat of Arms and will not need one as a Member of the Order of the Polar Star as he is a Commander and not a Knight.
