With the reduction in who gets titles (i.e. Lady Louise Windsor), does it seem as though the royal family is untitling itself out of existence?
Also, reducing who gets titles and who doesn't also seems to reduce the amount of support to the sovereign, does it not? I presume Lady Louise and Viscount Severn will not carry out any royal duties, so that would leave the titled royals at William (and Kate), Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie.
It doesn't seem like a lot of people. At least not as many people as there are now with Anne, Andrew, Edward, Sophie, the current Dukes of Kent and Gloucester and Princess Alexandra.

I think that she should become Queen Camilla when Prince Charles succeeds.
When Clarence House made the announcement about the Princess Consort title, I thought they were just pandering to the media. Putting a band-aid on it to get past the wedding. Right or wrong, I can see why they chose her to have the Duchess of Cornwall title instead of Princess of Wales, there's too strong an association with Diana. As for the Queen title, after all of this time it seems it's the media that is making more of a fuss than the public would.
People got over their marriage, they can get over her having Queen title too.

For William and Kate, my money is still on the Dukedom of Edinburgh, but we will have to wait until the wedding day when The Queen traditionally makes the announcement. No, it's already been announced that the Earl of Wessex will get the Duke of Edinburgh title: www.royal.gov.uk/ThecurrentRoyalFamily/TheEarlofWessex/Stylesandtitles.aspxI thought I read somewhere that this was done with the agreement of the Queen and Prince Charles. When Prince Philip dies and Charles becomes king, wouldn't the title revert back to the crown otherwise?

The ring looks smaller than I remember it. I was wondering if the ring is in white gold or in yellow gold. By looking at pictures of Diana it contrasts with her wedding ring so it looks like white gold whereas on Kate it looks like yellow gold.
