I'm o SO glad people are communicating on this page! So interesting to discover more history. Thank you Dr. Gall for all your information contributions. I am the great-grand niece of Julia Meehleib deLodzia (her older brother was my great grfather, who relocated to western PA & then the family moved on to Corpus Christi TX). I've thoroughly enjoyed learning about the deLodzias and would love to be able to learn more about the assignment of count; I've tried communicating w overseas but the language barrier was too great and I was never able to make contact with someone who could really help on that issue. I was wondering what year your father went to MIT, as another Meehleib went there, graduating in 1946 (age 19) w a chemical engineering degree. I dont' check this site often so you can p-message me and I will hopefully eventually get it. Otherwise you can find me on facebook, we have a family site....you have definitely been talking to deLodzia's I've had contact with. So interesting!

Hey! Thanks for all the responses...I had to reset my account from freckles22122, so I'm unable to retrieve any private messages. I'm the great grand niece of the Countess Julia de Lodzia (nee Meehleib). Just recently heard of the distant relative! So Neat to add to the familial story. I was sorry to hear of the passing of "Sonny"; I was hoping to see a memorial/ obituary, but haven't yet been able to locate one. Excited to hear more about this side of the family. Julia was the sister of my great grandfather, Henry Meehleib.
