Was there ever a case where an heir was assassinated, not so another relative could take the throne, but because the heir was so corrupt/inable to rule it was obvious they'd make a horrible monarch and ruin the kingdom?
Other than to claim the throne for themselves, what were some reasons that heirs were mistreated/killed?
