There are reports this morning that the new-born son of TRH The Earl and Countess of Wessex, Viscount Severn, is in hospital undergoing tests.
The Wessexes have had such trouble with raising a family, I really hope everything is OK with young James.

The news I'm reading today is that little James had a minor allergic reaction and they kept him overnight. I believe he's going home today - or has already gone home.
Although I feel the media played this news item...I must say that allergic reactions are nothing to toy with. An emergency room nurse once told my sister (whose son had just had a particularly bad reaction to a horse) that, in terms of triage priority, they would treat a bad allergic reaction before a heart patient.
I'm thankful James is on the road to recovery and I hope that his parents are aware of the trigger which caused this reaction so that it won't be repeated.

It's been an extremely long time since anyone in the Royal Family was given the name 'James'.Perhaps he was named after his ancestor King James VI of Scotland/I of England & Ireland.
Aidan.
