OK, we live in an era where Royals no longer get bestowed every medal and order of chivalry going just because they are royal.

It just came to mind, why, with all his work abroad for British industry, HRH The Prince Andrew, Duke of York hasn't been appointed to the Order of St Michael and St George.

He could also take over from HRH The Duke of Kent as Grand Master as and when required.

Isn't the St Michael and St George mainly a military and diplomatic order?Good idea about the Duke of York taking over from the the Duke in time.

Pity he hasn't re-married. One can compliment him on his flawless conduct over his divorce. Impeccable!
