Good for HM Queen Fabiola. With humour she stood up to threats that she would be attacked at Belgium's National Day parade by being assassinated with a crossbow bolt.
At the end of the Parade she produced an apple from her handbag as if to say, "OK, William Tell, where are you?"
Every royal family needs a steadfast Queen-Mother-figure like her.

I say good on her! It was very brave of her to show up at all, considering the death threat. The tragic attempt on Queen Beatrix which recently took place in the Netherlands is still so fresh in everyone's minds. The apple, though, was a wonderful statement. That one wry, brave and defiant act spoke volumes without her saying a word. I'll bet her apple moment will make it into the history books to depict her strong character, however, it isn't yet on her Wikipedia page.

Gosh! I haven't thought of myself as being savvy enough to post something on a website. But thanks for the vote of confidence!
