Did anyone actually know that Lady Nicholas Windsor was pregnant again? There are reports coming out today that she gave birth to a second son earlier in the week.
It is expected that, as with their first son Master Albert Windsor, the baby will be christened Catholic and will therefore lose its position [low though it is] in the Line of Succession to the United Kingdom throne.
Any specualtion on the name?

How about Paul? The male version of his mother's name.

How about Paul? The male version of his mother's name. Do you have a particular affinity for that name? ;D

I might... ;o)
Having said that and considering it is the male version of the baby's mother's name, it is also a name not used much in the British Royal Family otherwise. There is, however, a history of it in the Kent family as it the last middle name of the baby's Grandfather, HRH The Duke of Kent, coming from the Greek Royal Family [the name of a King and also the current Crown Prince] to which the Duke's mother, Princess Marina, belonged.

Surprise, surprise!
According to the Wikipedia entry, the baby's names are Leopold Ernest Augustus Guelph. How Hanoverian can you get?! Being an Austrophile I quite like the name Leopold. But Ernest Augustus. [Wonder who might be the Godfather...] And Guelph!
Oh well. Perhaps Paul might have a chance next time...

Leopold, interesting choice, no one in the family with that name at the moment. Paulchen, I'm here for you if you need me *hugs*

I'm having second thoughts about this name. Does anyone have any further information or separate confirmation?
PS Thank you for your support, Ibelieveinfairytales ;o)

It seems that there is a bit mystery surrounding the name of the latest addition to the Windsor Family. [Personally, I wouldn't blame the parents...] Wikipedia is asking for a citation to the baby's names and confirmation hasn't been received.
I wonder if this is a bluff...

Since posting this item it has been confirmed that Lord and lady Nicholas Windsor indeed have two sons now, Albert and Leopold.
There are two unusual aspects still:
Firstly, they remain in the Line of Succession even though both parents are Roman Catholic and they have been baptised as such. The reason given is that they won't be deemed to have been "brought up" as Roman Catholic until they are confirmed.
Secondly, as opposed to what normally happens with the sons of younger sons of Dukes who are usually called Master until they reach the age of majority and become Mr, Albert and Leopold have received the courtesy title of Honourable. This is confirmed on the official website of the British Monarchy.
