Right now I don't have any control over the ads on this board. I can remove them, but I'll have to pay to do it. So far I've seen one or two ads I don't like, but it's not a big problem for me. What does everyone else think?

I really don't notice them that much. Anyways, if I did, I'd rather put up with them than have you end up having to pay.

Thank you to Marilyn and everyone else for the feedback. I'm glad to see that, so far, no one really minds the ads.

It is my opinion that television and the Internet have all been usurped by advertisers. These are their two main vehicles for selling advertising and unless we all, that's the seven-billion people who come in contact with these electronics, denounce it, then it will continue to grow. It is just so intrusive. I know of all the arguments about advertising paying for TV and Internet but I would much rather pay a licence fee like they do in the UK to stop being invaded by common advertisers. Stand up and be counted.

Willem-Alexander Installation. I awoke at 5 this morning in Canada to see if I could get any live coverage of the Abdication of Beatrix and the Istallation of her son Willem-Alexander as King. Alas, the only live coverage was on BBC Canada and that for only 10 minutes at a time. Thanks very much to Cindarella who posted all of the on-line sites one could go to to view, live, the ceremonies. I watched it all, live, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Again, thank you Cindarella. You made my day.
